sunday best
ceremonies
Hello, I am Sarah Precious, the face and heart behind Sunday Best Ceremonies, and I am so glad you are here.
Sunday Best Ceremonies began with something simple. I care about people, and I care about their stories. The real ones. The memorable ones. My job is to take all of that and shape a ceremony that feels modern, warm and completely personal to you.
East Devon is home for me, with the Cathedral City of Exeter just up the road. It is a brilliant place to call home, and I feel very lucky to work with couples across Devon, Cornwall, the South West and beyond.
Your ceremony is where the celebrating truly starts. It sets the tone and it gathers all your favourite people close.
So come with me through the next few sections and get to know the person who will be standing with you on one of the biggest days of your life.
Your story, your way, your Sunday Best.
My journey to celebrancy
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent over a decade working in event management across weddings, conferences and celebrations of every kind. I hold a recognised qualification in event planning and have managed everything from the first enquiry to the final wave at the end of the day.
My work took me to golf clubs, rugby stadiums and historic venues, and even across the world to New Zealand where I lived and worked for three and a half years. If you ever want to chat about a good sauvignon blanc or the perfect flat white, I will happily clear my schedule!
What those years taught me is simple. People make an event. The laughter, the little moments, the way a room feels when everyone is completely present. Those are the bits that stay with you long after the confetti has settled.
That realisation is what brought me to celebrancy. I wanted to be part of the meaning, not just the schedule. Now I get to listen, learn your story and craft something personal, modern and full of joy.
I am a celebrant because I care about people. I care about their stories, their quirks, the bits that make them laugh and the bits that make them feel most like themselves. When we work together, I want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and completely you.
This work has purpose. It is creative, thoughtful and full of real connection. I feel genuinely lucky to play a part in such important moments. Every couple brings something new, and every ceremony reminds me why I love what I do.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I trained with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, completing months of learning, creative writing and live practice. My final assessment was a full mock wedding ceremony, complete with 80s music and jokes about the dishwasher. A perfect hint of the energy I can bring to my celebrancy scripts!
Alongside my celebrant training, I bring over a decade of event management and a recognised qualification in event planning, which means I understand logistics and all the moving parts that help a wedding day feel calm and run smoothly.
All of that comes with me into your ceremony. You get a celebrant who is steady, organised and genuinely invested in helping you feel relaxed and supported, while keeping the focus firmly on connection and meaning.
